By accessing or using the Selfish Hospitality community platform at community.selfishhospitality.com (“the Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
Selfish Hospitality provides a community platform for hospitality professionals, including: the Selfishness Quiz diagnostic tool, the Digital Suite (courses, challenges, workbooks, and workshops), community forums and discussions, and live session features. Some features are free; others may require a paid subscription or access grant.
To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information, maintain the security of your password, accept all risks of unauthorized access to your account, and notify us immediately if you discover any security breach.
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
When you take the Selfishness Quiz and submit your information through our landing pages, you consent to us storing your quiz responses and results, contacting you at the email address you provide for the purpose of delivering your results, and — only if you explicitly opt in — receiving marketing communications. Submitting the quiz gate form without creating an account stores your data as a lead record. You can request deletion of this data at any time.
You agree not to: use the Platform to harass, abuse, or harm others; post content that is hateful, threatening, or discriminatory; impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation; attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform; use the Platform for commercial solicitation without our permission; or violate any applicable laws.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
All content on the Platform — including the Selfishness Quiz, course materials, the Three Selfishnesses framework, and written content — is the intellectual property of Selfish Hospitality and Demetri Gregorakis. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.
Content you create within the Platform (forum posts, journal entries, etc.) remains yours. By posting it, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display it within the Platform.
The Selfishness Quiz and all Platform content are educational tools, not medical or psychological treatment. They are based on published psychology research but do not constitute professional counseling, therapy, or diagnosis. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a qualified professional or call 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline).
The Platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Selfish Hospitality shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or a notice on the Platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
