Selfish Hospitality (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates the community platform at community.selfishhospitality.com and the website selfishhospitality.com. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored securely via Supabase Auth).
Quiz Data: When you take the Selfishness Quiz, we collect your quiz answers and results. For leads (without an account), this data is stored alongside your email. For account holders, it's associated with your user profile.
Usage Data: We collect basic analytics about how you interact with our platform, including pages visited, features used, and referral source (UTM parameters).
Marketing Preferences: If you opt in to marketing communications, we record this preference. This is always optional and unchecked by default.
We use your information to: deliver your quiz results, provide access to the community platform and Digital Suite, communicate with you about your account (transactional emails only via Supabase Auth), and — only if you explicitly opt in — send you marketing content about new resources and content via HubSpot.
We never sell your data. We never share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.
We use the following services to operate our platform:

Transactional Emails: If you create an account, you will receive a confirmation email from Supabase Auth. These are necessary for account security and cannot be opted out of.
Marketing Emails: We only send marketing emails if you explicitly check the opt-in box. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any marketing email or by contacting us.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. Lead data (quiz results without an account) is retained for up to 24 months for follow-up purposes. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.
You have the right to: access your personal data, correct inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, opt out of marketing communications at any time, and request a copy of your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email below.
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure password hashing via Supabase Auth, and row-level security policies on our database. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Our platform is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date.
